Warts are caused by an infection from the Human Papilloma Virus(HPV). This virus causes an excess amount of Keratin to form lumps on the skin. These lumps are usually dark in colour. It can take a wart as long as 2 to 6 months to form after your skin has been exposed to the HPV virus. Warts are known to spread too so its best to get them removed as soon as they appear any where on your skin.
1.Laser Treatment:Your doctor will use a laser light to heat and destroy the tiny blood vessels inside the wart. This process will cut off the blood supply thereby destroying the wart.
What to expect
Since a laser is projected on the undesired wart, you will feel slight heating sensation on your skin. Your wart will be destroyed by the laser in and around 30 minutes.
Laser treatment for warts may require 2-3 sessions of half an hour each. And warts are sometimes known to reappear once you’ve caught the virus, so multiple sessions during one’s lifetime may be required.
Laser surgery for wart removal might have a few side effects, mainly, it may leave scars. Other side effects include debris of dead warts and dead skin cells appearing on your skin.
