Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy in Hair Restoration - PRP Therapy
At Manya aesthetic clinic, we have been performing PRP therapy as a proactive therapeutic option for male and female patients experiencing hair loss. PRP is an exciting non-surgical therapeutic option for patients who require stimulation of hair growth for hair loss conditions.
How Is PRP Performed?
There are two stages to PRP hair loss treatment.First, blood is drawn from the patient and that blood is separated using a centrifuge. The separation occurs between the plasma and the red blood cells.
Second, the plasma is extracted from the collected blood and injected into the patient’s scalp where hair loss has occurred. Multiple injections are performed in one session, and a typical session lasts about 60 minutes.
DOES PRP WORK?
Individual results vary with each patient.plasma acts as a reserve for proteins. However, plasma also contains its own proteins, as well as Growth Factors (GFs). A few of the more important GFs include:
- Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF).
- Transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β).
- Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).
- Epidermal growth factor (EGF).
- Insulin-like growth factor (IGF).
For best results, consistency is key. Treatments are typically performed once a month for the first three to four months, and then every three to six months thereafter, depending on the individual patient's response and results. Following this protocol, anticipated results can first be seen within two to three months,
